Third PG&E Rate Increase for 2006 on September 1st

On September 1, 2006, PG&E raised their rates again. This closely follows the historic all-time high increases of January 1, 2006 and May 1, 2006. http://www.pge.com/tariffs/pdf/E-1.pdf

For our customers that have installed a solar energy system, congratulations. You are not affected and this rate increase, and every future increase, literally means more money in your pocket for you and your family. The original payback period we projected has become even shorter and your return on investment is even greater than it was just a few days ago. Five, ten, and twenty years from now your accumulated savings will be huge and you and your family will be more comfortable and secure. The comment we hear most from our customers is “installing a solar energy system was the best thing I’ve ever done.” And this current rate increase will make a great decision even better.

Unfortunately, those that have not installed a solar energy system will experience the largest utility bills ever in the coming months with no end in sight. If this is you, now is the time to consider solar as an investment. There truly has never been a better time go solar.
